On 19-07-2021, WCCB (WR) in collaboration with Alibag Forest Division, Maharashtra, organized a virtual Sensitization Program for the personnel of Maharashtra Forest & Police Department. Around 100 WCCB Forest & Police Officials participated in the program.
RDD, Assistant Director & Technical Assistant of WCCB delivered lectures on ‘wildlife crime, role of WCCB, crime modus operandi, illegal trade in wildlife, case studies, and identification of wildlife products’, etc. followed by presentation by Shri Rajendra Dhongde, ACF (Retd.), Maharashtra on ‘Legal Matters’ and by Dr. Ajay Gaur, Senior Principal Scientist, CCMB, LaCONES, Hyderabad on ‘wildlife forensics and DNA analysis’.
