A total of 170 SSB officials in the rank of Asst. Sub-inspectors from various SSB Units deployed at Indo-Nepal & Indo-Bhutan Borders attended the lecture.
RDD, NR, WLIs, Insp. of NR and officials from NEPA took sessions on topics viz. Overview of wildlife crime, intelligence collection, interrogation, search, seizure, documentation, WLPA, wildlife forensics, species identification, etc. during the program.
The participants were also taken on a visit to ICD Tughlakabad to provide them an exposure to import-export of flora and fauna and methodology related to consignment inspection/examination.
45 Officials including newly appointed inspector of CGST, CGLE undergoing Induction training at NACIN, attended the session.
The team also arrested two accused and based on their disclosure, more raids were conducted resulting in the arrest of three more persons and recovery of another 10 kgs of Pangolin Scales.
Total 12.5 Kgs of Pangolin Scales were seized and 05 accused were arrested in the two-day long operation.
Senior Officers of agencies viz SSB, BSF, CRPF, Assam Rifles, CISF, DRI, ED, NCB, CID, NIA, NTCA, ZSI, IRO, State Forensic Lab, Airport Authority of India, BSI, and Police and Forest officials of Meghalaya, Nagaland, Assam & Arunachal Pradesh participated in the meeting
Sessions on issues related to search and seizure, collection of samples, mock court sessions, and preparation of documents etc. were conducted during this program attended by 43 Forest Officers.
The meet was held under the Chairmanship of PCCF Wildlife and CWLW, Chattisgarh.
Senior officials of central agencies viz. IB, Customs, CISF, SSB, ITBP, RPF, NTCA, WCCB, Postal Department and State agencies viz. Forest, Police, Transport Dept., FSL, Electricity Dept. and CID attended the meeting.
41 personnel participated in the program and attended sessions on Modus operandi of smuggling, concealment techniques, identification of wildlife contraband, wildlife crime scenario and legislation etc.
Discussions were held on various issues including prevailing trends of wildlife crime, illegal wildlife trade and poaching in the region, and role of PRI members and villagers in wildlife conservation.
60 officials from UP Forest, UP Police & SSB attended the program.
The programs were conducted under WCCB's 'OPS Wildnet V' on prevention of online illegal trade in wildlife.
Shri R. Jayaramegowda, Conservator of Forests and Field Director, NNTR, inaugurated the program. RDD, WCCB, delivered a lecture on “Wildlife Crime Scenario and Role of WCCB” followed by a series of lectures on wildlife crime related issues by eminent speakers..
30 Forest Officials in the rank of ACF, RFO and Foresters along with 10 Police Officials in the ranks of Assistant Inspector and Sub Inspector participated in the training.
43 officials in the rank of inspectors & Constables participated in the program and attended sessions on Modus operandi of smuggling, identification of wildlife articles, crime scenarios, hands on session with real specimen, and CITES regulations, etc.
RDD SR explained the activities of WCCB and Wildlife Inspector delivered a lecture on exploitation of biodiversity, illegal wildlife trade and their control measures.
100 Customs Officials participated in the session.
Sessions on ‘Modus operandi of smuggling, identification of wildlife articles, crime scenario, and practical session with real specimen, etc. were conducted for the participants. 45 officials in the rank of inspector & Constables attended the program.
100 Officers of Kerala Forest Department attended the program.
