On 26-08-2021, WCCB/WR organized a virtual Inter-Agency Coordination Meeting for the Enforcement Agencies of the Konkan Region in Western India, to discuss issues related to wildlife crime in the region under the Chairmanship of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) and Chief Wildlife Warden, Maharashtra.
The PCCF (WL) & CWLW gave inaugural remarks followed by a brief address and presentation on Wildlife Crime Scenario in India by the Additional Director, WCCB. Senior Officials from various Enforcement Agencies, civic bodies and scientific institutions viz. Maharashtra Forest Department, Maharashtra Police Department, Customs, DRI, Tribal Development Authority, Konkan Railways, ZSI, BSI, CMFRI, WII, etc. participated in the Meeting.
